Nagaland on Wednesday recorded 98 new cases, taking the state’s tally to 8824.
Of the new cases, 71 were reported from Dimapur, 13 from Kohima, 5 from Mon, 3 each from Tuensang and Mokokchung and 1 each from Kiphire, Wokha and Zunheboto.

It may be mentioned here that of all the reported cases, 3,843 are armed forces/ police personnel, 2,906 cases are traced contacts, 1,642 are returnees, and 433 are frontline workers.

The state on Wednesday also reported 114 recoveries.

According to the COVID-19 bulletin issued by the State Health and Family Welfare Department, the total number of active cases in the state on Wednesday were 1840 and the number of recovered cases were 6869.
Nagaland so far has reported 28 COVID-19 fatalities.
