Padma Shree and former Indian football captain Baichung Bhutia extended financial contribution and solidarity with the Suruhuto Sub-Division Task Force in Nagaland’s Zunheboto district in its fight against Covid-19 pandemic, a release said on Tuesday.
Member of the task force Hotoshe Sema Awomi, during the joint coordination meeting held to monitor the activities of the task force, on behalf of the citizens of Suruhuto area extended gratitude to Bhutia for his kind gesture.
He said Bhutia’s gesture would definitely boost the morale of the task force and the people of the area in the fight against the virus.
Bhutia, in a short video message, congratulated the task force for its initiatives and urged it to continue to work hard in supporting state government’s plans in this critical time. He also said he would visit Suruhoto soon, the release added.
