KOHIMA: Countering the narrative that portrays the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as “anti-Christian and anti-minority”, Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio asserted, “We will never compromise our faith and identity as Christians.”

Rio underscored that despite circulating propaganda and sporadic incidents, no such occurrence has transpired in Nagaland to date.

Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio emphasised the importance of individuals discerning the facts amidst the misinformation.

Reflecting on the Congress’s ten-year tenure at the Centre, CM Rio claimed minimal development in Nagaland, except for a brief period of President’s Rule in 2008.

He urged the people of Nagaland to make informed decisions while exercising their voting rights.

Highlighting PDA’s agenda to drive Nagaland towards growth, development, and prosperity through peace and unity, Rio urged all citizens to participate in the electoral process by casting their votes.

Rio also expressed optimism for a smooth electoral process in Nagaland.
