After detection of a number of Covid19 positive cases, the Nagaland Secretariat complex at Kohima has been sealed for two days with effect from November 16.
The additional deputy commissioner of Kohima, Lithrongla T Roshta in a notification said: “In view of the detection of a number of COVID-19 positive cases, the Nagaland Civil Secretariat office complex, Kohima is hereby declared as a sealed area w.e.f. Monday, the 16th of November 2020 to 17th Nov 2020 (Tuesday)”.
According to the notification, the office complex will remain closed for a period of 48 hours as per “the guidelines on preventive measures to contain the spread of COVID-I9 in workplace settings issued by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Directorate General of Health Services (EMR Division)” on June 4, 2020.
The notification said aggressive contact tracing will be initiated following all the health safety measures and SOPs of the government.
“Therefore, the aforementioned Nagaland Civil Secretariat Office Complex, Kohima is hereby sealed till Tuesday the 17th November 2020, wherein fumigation of the premises is to be done and aggressive contact tracing will be initiated following all health safety measures and SOPs of the government,” it said.
The sealed area has been mapped and cordoned off.
The public and all concerned have been advised to follow all safety precautions of wearing masks all the time, frequently washing hands and maintain social/physical distances to ensure public hygiene and personal safety within the proximity of the sealed area.
