Nagaland Governor P B Acharya has extended Diwali greetings to the people of the State on the joyous occasion.
“Let us light the lamps of compassion, love and righteousness. Let us resolve to fight against illiteracy, inequality, poverty, discrimination and malice and let us promote universal peace and brotherhood in the society,” the Governor and the first lady Kavita Acharya conveyed in a message.
The Governor further appealed to all for a pollution-free Diwali celebration.
Meanwhile, Nagaland Chief Minister took to Twitter to extend his greetings.
“May the festival of lights bring goodness, happiness, good health and prosperity,” Rio stated on his official Twitter handle.
The Nagaland state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also conveyed warmest greetings on the occasion of Diwali.
A greeting note from the media cell of state unit of BJP stated: “As Diwali symbolizes the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance, may the supreme light illuminate and enlighten everyone’s hearts, bring cheers to every home and strengthen bonds among all communities.”
