Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton called on the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh at his official residence in New Delhi on Thursday.
The Deputy Chief Minister, during the course of their discussion, deliberated on the financial situation of the state of Nagaland.
He urged the Union Home Minister to release special plan assistance (SPA) liabilities of Rs 863.95 crore at the earliest for the state of Nagaland.
Patton, who also holds the Home portfolio, requested for security related expenditure (SRE) re-imbursement and to include mobile internet charges under SRE.
The Union Home Minister, it is learnt, agreed to take up the matter and assured Patton of all possible help for the state.
On Wednesday, the Deputy Chief Minister also met the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, and appraised him about the current situation in the state of Nagaland.
Meanwhile, sources informed that all 12 Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislators were camping in the national capital.
BJP sources said the BJP legislators were in Delhi to pay courtesy call to the central leaders.
