During the on-going Autumn Session of Nagaland Assembly, leader of the opposition T R Zeliang raised a starred question regarding the first agreement entered between the Nagaland Government and Civil Engineers Enterprise Pvt Ltd (CEEPL) and subsequent renewal of agreement till date with regard to Nightingale Building at Shakespeare Sarani Road, Kolkata.

In reply, State Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio replied that it was executed in August 6, 1982 and the revised agreement was executed on December 27, 1997.
On the status of the court case between the Government of Nagaland and CEEPL, Rio said that they had already filed a counter affidavit.
Rio also said that the case between the Government of Nagaland and the Northeast Handloom and Handicraft (NEHH), Bano Angami, with regard to occupation by NEEH at Nagaland House, Kolkata was pending before the court.
However, he said that Bano Angami had also sent a request letter for negotiation and settlement of the matter outside the court, for which Nagaland government has agreed to.
According to government report, the monthly rents received by Nagaland government from CEEPL, NEHH and Hind Xerox at Nagaland House Kolkata, the details were given as – a) CEEPL- Rs 5 lakhs upto December 2017 and Rs 7 lakhs w.e.f January 2018; Bano Angami (NEHH) – no rent is accepted by the government after termination of her occupancy w.e.f May 2001 and Hind Xerox – Rs100.
