Nagaland chief electoral officer (CEO) Abhijit Sinha on Monday urged all mobile service providers to monitor the connectivity throughout the state and take all measures to improve it during the poll period.

At a meeting with the mobile service providers in his office chamber, the CEO briefed them about the polling date and asked them to ensure that the networks are up from April 11 onwards and remain good during the polling duration, the CEO media cell said in a release.

Sinha said webcasting and offline videography will be implemented in about 450 polling stations. He pointed out that for ensuring the success of webcasting, connectivity issue has to be sorted out properly.

The service providers assured that they will take all the steps to improve connectivity, and at their own level ensure that there are no glitches anywhere.
