The Nagaland Department of Science and Technology on Thursday organized the third Innovative Science Working Model Competition on the theme ‘Science for the people and the people for science’.
The competition was organized in commemoration with the National Science Day 2019 at Nagaland Science Centre in Dimapur, according to reports.

According to reports, chief scientific office, Dr Zavei Hiese, who was the special guest on the occasion, while stressing on science and its implications remarked that it should be the fundamental duty of everyone to develop scientific temper.
Altogether, 17 schools participated in the competition. Certificates were awarded to all the participants and cash awards with free membership in the Innovation Hub were also awarded to the winners.
Vilibo Kiba and Itokali Kiba representing Namghar Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, were conferred the first prize, while the second and third prizes were given to Tiamongba Lemtur and Vishal Kumar Choudhary from Lorna’s High School and Vinato Zhimo and Bauman Phom from St John’s High School respectively.
