The Naga Studentsโ Federation (NSF) has reaffirmed its earlier resolution to commemorate 100 years of Naga Club.
A press release issued on Monday stated that a resolution to this effect was adopted at the apex student bodyโs second presidential council meeting held at NSF office of Naga Club building in Kohima on Monday.

The release stated that the meeting was attended by leaders of 20 student bodies where the house also appealed to all students, youth and Nagas to join hands to celebrate the occasion on October 31 at Naga Solidarity Park in Kohima and participate in the scheduled commemoration.
The meeting was attended by presidents of Sumi Kiphimi Khukalu, All Zeliangrong Studentsโ Union, Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong, Rengma Studentsโ Union, Lotha Studentsโ Union, Chakhesang Studentsโ Union, Mao Studentsโ Union, Maram Students Union, Poumai Naga Tsudoumai Me, Maring Studentsโ Union, All Moyon Naga Studentsโ Union, Monsang Naga Studentsโ Union, Lamkang Naga Studentsโ Union, Anal Lenruwl Tangpi, All Naga Studentsโ Association of Manipur, All Nagaland College Studentsโ Union and Naga Studentsโ Union Delhi, besides vice presidents of Ao Kaketshir Mungdang, Angami Studentsโ Union and Pochury Studentsโ Union, the release added.

The meeting observed that formation of Naga Club was epoch-making for the Nagas in realization of their identity and raise social and political consciousness, thereby starting the journey of collectively responding to changes of time and envisioning a shared future.
NSF felt that the Naga people should celebrate this glorious legacy and take time to retrospect and introspect and thus find inspiration to continue their journey with renewed vigour, the statement affirmed.
The house also clarified that by celebrating 100 years of Naga Club, NSF by no means laid claim of ownership over the institution, but only wanted to celebrate the legacy with the theme โCelebrating the Legacyโ, the release also stated.
