All tribal hohos of Nagaland have jointly resolved to stand for a solution to the Naga issue before the State Assembly election.
The Coordination Committee of Naga Civil Societies formed for the purpose at an emergency meeting in Nagaland Baptist Church Council Platinum Hall, Kohima on Thursday evening also asked all political parties and candidates to refrain from filing nominations for the Nagaland Assembly elections scheduled to be held on February 27, 2018.

The meeting was convened by the Nagaland Joint Christian Forum to bring out a consensus on the Naga issue after Coordination Committee of Naga Civil Societies was formed on January 22.
The coordination committee comprising presidents of all tribal hohos of Nagaland, Naga Hoho, Nagaland Tribes Council, Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation, Central Nagaland Tribes Council, Naga Students Federation, Eastern Nagaland Students Federation, Naga Mothers Association, Eastern Nagaland Women Organisation,Naga Council Dimapur, Against Corruption and Unabated Taxation Nagaland along with other civil society organisations will jointly carry out the action plan for ‘solution first’, the meeting resolved.
The meeting elected Theja Therie as the convenor of the coordination committee.
