Aizawl: Mizoram is set to host the North East Bankers’ Conclave 3.0 on October 13, with Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Jyotiraditya Scindia expected to attend the event, officials said on Wednesday.
State Chief Secretary Khilli Ram Meena chaired a meeting here on Wednesday to review preparations for the conclave, which is expected to bring together chief secretaries of northeastern states, Reserve Bank of India officials, state government functionaries and representatives of various banks, they said.
The meeting discussed arrangements for receiving Scindia, his proposed visits to different locations and logistical arrangements, including accommodation, transportation and security for special invitees arriving from outside the state.
The Union Minister is also scheduled to lay the foundation stones for five development projects and inaugurate five completed projects during the conclave, officials said.
Senior state government officials, including the DGP, principal secretary of the General Administration Department, commissioners and secretaries of various departments, Aizawl Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police and the state protocol officer, attended the meeting.
Representatives of Mizoram University, NEDFi and various banks were also present.
