The Kolasib district administration in Mizoram has issued a public notice saying that no restriction will be imposed on the movement of non-residents of the state in the district. 

“…there shall be no restriction on the movement on Non-Residents of Mizoram travelling through Kolasib district,” Kolasib deputy commissioner Dr H Lalthangliana stated in the notice.

The notice adds: “Mizo residents are also advised to allow no disturbance and cause no harm to non-locals within Kolasib district in connection with the inter-state boundary issue at the Mizoram-Assam border.” 

The Kolasib DC has also deputed three district officials to look into the grievances of non-locals in the district.
