The 236 fresh cases detected from 3,306 samples tested on Friday; put the single-day positivity rate at 7.13 per cent, the official said.

54 new cases were confirmed at an RT-PCR laboratory in Zoram Medical College (ZMC), 8 were detected through TrueNat test and 174 through Rapid Antigen Test.
Of the fresh cases, Aizawl district accounted for the highest cases at 179, followed by Lunglei district at 20.
Kolasib district reported 11 cases, Serchhip (9), Siaha (4), Lawngtlai (9), Saitual district (2), and Mamit and Khawzawl districts reported 1 case each.
Four patients have travel history, while the rest 232 were found to have locally infected and the contact history of 84 patients is yet to be ascertained, according to the official.
Of the 236 patients, 138 patients have developed symptoms of Covid-19, he said.
The total recovery rate is 73.81 per cent and the death rate is 0.39 per cent.
The state has tested 4, 06,982 samples for Covid-19 till date.
According to the state immunization officer, as many as 2, 65,375 people have been administered the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine till Friday.
Of the 2, 65,375 beneficiaries, 52,191 have been fully vaccinated, she said.
