Mizoram’s Covid19 situation continues to remain grim with the state reporting 519 new positive cases on Tuesday morning.
With the detection of 519 new cases, Mizoram’s positive tally increased to 24,702 on Tuesday.

According to the Covid19 bulletin, released by the department of information and public relations (DIPR), Mizoram, of the 519 new cases, 182 were confirmed during RT-PCR test at Zoram Medical College (ZMC), 33 during TrueNAT test and 304 were found positive during the Rapid Antigen Test.
Mizoram’s Covid19 positivity rate currently stands at 9.78%.
The state reported no death due to Covid19 infection on Tuesday morning.

Mizoram currently has 4,787 active Covid19 cases.
Of the active cases, Aizawl has 3,062 cases, Lunglei – 437, Siaha – 97, Champhai – 33, Kolasib – 447, Serchhip – 41, Lawngtlai – 439, Mamit – 207, Khawzawl – 6, Hnahthial – 9 and Saitual district currently has 9 active cases.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 117 patients, who were earlier infected by Covid19, have recovered from the disease.
The discharged patients were from Lunglei – 40, Aizawl – 30, Kolasib – 25, Serchhip – 9, Hnahthial – 4, Lawngtlai – 3, Mamit – 3, Champhai – 2 and Khawzawl – 1.
On Monday, two patients died of Covid19 infection in Mizoram.
Mizoram reported 190 new Covid19 positive cases on Monday.
Mizoram’s Covid19 recovery rate stood at 81.60% on Monday.
Meanwhile, the Mizoram government has thanked UNICEF for donating 150 oxgyen concentrators.
“Government of Mizoram thanks @UNICEF for its thoughful donation of 150 oxgyen concentrators and related ancillaries to help Mizoram in its fight against COVID-19,” the department of information and public relations (DIPR) said in a tweet.
