Mizoram reported 3 more deaths due to Covid19 infection and 524 positive cases in the last 24 hours,
According to the latest Covid19 bulletin, released by the department of information and public relations, Mizoram, on Tuesday morning, of the new cases, 4 were confirmed during RT-PCR test at Zoram Medical College (ZMC).
While 28 other cases were detected positive for Covid19 during TrueNAT test, a total of 489 cases were detected positive during Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and 3 during FIA test.
With the new cases, the Covid19 positive tally increased to 47,995 in Mizoram on Saturday.
Of the total cases, 24,909 are male and 23,086 are female.
Mizoram currently has 11,139 active Covid19 cases.
The deadly disease has claimed the lives of a total of 177 patients in Mizoram so far.
Of the total active cases, Aizawl district currently has 8,140 cases; Lunglei – 509; Siaha – 192; Champhai 258; Kolasib 997; Serchhip 35; Lawngtlai 441; Mamit 518; Khawzawl 1; Hnahthial 27 and Saitual district has 21 active cases.
In the last 24 hours, 638 patients, who were earlier infected by Covid19, recovered from the disease, according to an update by the DIPR at 5 pm on Friday.
While 579 recovered in Aizawl district, 32 recovered in Lawngtlai, 17 in Siaha, 5 in Champhai, 3 in Serchhip and 2 patients recovered in Lunglei district.
According to the health bulletin, Mizoram’s recovery rate stands at 76.50%.
On Friday, Mizoram reported one Covid19 death and 575 positive cases.
