Mizoram on Tuesday reported 268 new Covid19 cases, pushing the state’s tally to 15,631, an official said.
The state currently has 3,682 Covid19 active cases.

A total of 11,879 people have recovered from the infection so far, including 131 people on Monday, he said.
Of the 268 fresh cases, 200 cases were reported from Aizawl district and the rest from Kolasib, Lunglei, Siaha, Lawngtlai, Saitual, Mamit and Serchhip districts, the official said.
More than 71 children and 2 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were among the newly-infected people, he said.

Eleven patients have travel history and the rest 257 were found to have locally infected, the official said.
A total of 144 patients have developed symptoms of Covid19 while 119 are asymptomatic and reports of the remaining 5 patients, whether or not symptomatic, are awaited, he added.
The death toll in the state remains at 70.
The recovery rate is 75.99 per cent and the death rate is 0.44 per cent.
The state has tested 4,36,556 samples for Covid19 till date, including 4,248, on Monday.
According to state immunisation officer Dr. Lalzawmi, 2,99,068 people have been administered the first dose of Covid19 vaccine till Monday and out of them, 53,245 people have received both the doses.
