Mizoram on Friday reported 210 new Covid19 cases, taking the state’s tally to 14,743.
The single-day Covid19 infection rate of Mizoram decreased to 5.86 per cent on Friday as the new cases were detected from 3,581 sample tests.

Of the 210 fresh cases, Aizawl district reported 144, Lunglei district 35, Lawngtlai district 16, Kolasib district 10, Champhai and Mamit districts reported 2 each while Siaha district reported 1 case, the official said.
More than 50 children were among the newly infected people, he said.
8 patients have travel history, while the rest were found to have locally contracted the infection, he said.

Of the 210 patients, 136 have developed symptoms of Covid19, he added.
Mizoram now has 3,578 Covid19 active cases.
So far, a total of 11,104 people have recovered from Covid19 infection.
At least 61 people have succumbed to the infection.
The recovery rate is 75.31 per cent and the death rate is 0.41 per cent.
The state has tested 4,24,717 samples for Covid19 till date.
According to state immunisation officer Dr. Lalzawmi, 2,81,950 people have been administered the first dose of Covid19 vaccine and of this 52,840 have received both the doses till Thursday.
