Mizoram COVID-19 count reached 13,567 on Sunday as 267 more people, including over 46 children, have tested positive for the infection, an official statement said.
The state also reported one more death as a 92- year-old man from Kolasib district has succumbed to the infection at Zoram Medical College (ZMC) on Saturday night, the statement said.

With this, the death toll in the hilly state has climbed to 53, it said.
The 267 fresh cases detected from 2,886 samples tested on Saturday; put the single-day’s positivity rate at 9.25 per cent.
202 new cases were reported from Aizawl district and the rest 65 were reported from Kolasib, Champhai, Siaha, Lunglei, Lawngtlai, Saitual, Mamit and Serchhip districts, it said.

Two patients have travel history, while the rest 265 were found to have locally contracted the infection.
The contact history of 84 patients among 265 locally infected is yet to be ascertained, the statement said.
Of the 267 patients, 94 patients have developed symptoms of Covid-19.
Mizoram now has 3,363 active cases, while 10,151 people have recovered from the infection.
The recovery rate is 74.83 per cent and the death rate is 0.39 per cent.
The state has tested 4, 09,868 samples for Covid-19 till date.
