Mizoram’s Mamit MLA H Lalzirliana on Thursday inaugurated a Child Friendly Corner at Mamit Police Station.
Inaugurated on the occasion of Children’s Day, the corner will benefit children in solving their problems cordially with the police officials.

Lalzirliana said in his inaugural speech that the building of the nation begins in the rearing of children at home by stressing the responsibilities of parents especially the father.
The process of moulding children as leaders of tomorrow at the family and social level springs out a great nation, the legislator said.
He hoped that the Child Friendly Corner will help children at the police station.

Mamit superintendent of police Shashank Jaiswal said the Child Friendly Corner has been established as per the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Model Rules 2016.
This corner will serve as a platform where police can engage playfully with children to solve their problems.
Child Friendly Corner inauguration programme was hosted by Dr R Lalrinhlua, DCPO Mamit and was attended by NGOs, village council leaders and child welfare committee members.
