AIZAWL: The Mizoram excise and narcotics department achieved a notable breakthrough by apprehending a 32-year-old man named Lalmuankima near the state guest house in Chaltlang, for possessing 11 grams of Heroin.
Subsequent investigations unveiled his connection to three women residing in Aizawl, Mizoram.

Acting on this lead, security forces conducted a midnight raid, resulting in the apprehension of KC Thangmawii (44) from Zokhawthar in Champhai district of Mizoram, and two Myanmar nationals, Lalthanpari (54) and Tluangthanpari (39), currently residing in Aizawl.
The authorities seized a significant quantity of narcotics substances from their possession, including 109 grams of heroin and 5.888 kilograms (equivalent to 60,000 tablets) of Methamphetamine.

All apprehended individuals have been charged under the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Act 1984 and were promptly presented in court on Tuesday (April 02).
If convicted, they could face imprisonment ranging from 10 to 20 years, along with fines ranging from Rs 1 to 2 lakhs.
