Mizoram has registered 8 more COVID19 positive cases on Monday, taking the state’s overall tally to 42.
According to the latest data on Mizoram’s COVID19 status on Monday evening, shared by the directorate of information & information relations (DIPR), Mizoram on its Twitter handle, the number of active COVID19 cases in Mizoram stands at 41.
On Sunday, Mizoram registered 10 new COVID19 positive cases taking the state’s total to 34.
With the new cases registered on Monday, the state’s overall COVID19 tally has gone up to 42.
The results of over 200 samples are awaited.

The first COVID19 patient was discharged from the hospital after recovery.
Of the total positive cases registered in the state, 17 are male and 25 are females.
According to the district-wise statistics, Aizawl has recorded the highest number of COVID19 positive cases in Mizoram with 10 cases, followed by Kolasib district with 11 cases.
Mamit district comes in the third position with 8 COVID19 positive cases.
Champhai district has reported a total of 5 positive cases so far.
Lunglei, Lawngtlai, and Khawzawl districts have reported 2 positive cases each.
Siaha and Saitual districts have registered one positive case each.
There has been no COVID19 positive case reported from Serchhip and Hnahthial districts.
