Mizoram reported 2 more deaths due to Covid19 infection and 1,731 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.
With the death of two more patients, Mizoram’s Covid19 death toll increased to 263 on Tuesday.
Mizoram so far has reported a total of 81,460 Covid19 positive cases.

Of the new cases, 457 were detected during RT-PCR test, 26 during TrueNAT test, 1,226 during Rapid Antigen Test (RAgT) and 22 cases were found positive during FIA test.

The positivity rate stood at 18.53% on Tuesday.

According to the health bulletin updated by the department of information and public relations, Mizoram at 5 pm on Monday, a total of 433 recovered from the deadly infection.
Of the recoveries, Aizawl district recorded 147, Champhai-124, Kolasib-78, Mamit-41, Lawngtlai-36, Lunglei-5, Saitual-2 and Hnahthial district recorded 1 recovery.

The recovery rate stood at 82.49%.
Mizoram so far has recorded a total of 66,057 recoveries.
Mizoram currently has a total of 12,140 active cases.
Of the total active cases in Mizoram, Aizawl district has 10,018 cases, Lunglei – 807, Siaha – 1,012, Champhai – 548, Kolasib – 569, Serchhip – 569, Lawngtlai – 846, Mamit – 526, Khawzawl – 147, Hnahthial – 80 and Saitual has 18 active cases.
On Monday, Mizoram reported two deaths due to Covid19 infection.
