Mizoram has reported one more death due to Covid19 infection and 94 new positive cases in the last 24 hours, the lowest single-day spike in four months.
According to the health bulletin, released by the directorate of information and public relations (DIPR), Mizoram, on Monday morning, the new cases were detected during Rapid Antigen Test (RAgT).
Among the new positive cases, 48 are male and 46 are female.
A total of 78 patients have developed symptoms of Covid19 and 16 were asymptomatic, an official said.
Mizoram’s positivity rate stands at 10.74%.
Mizoram currently has a total of 3,900 active Covid19 cases.
Mizoram has recorded a total of 1,34,373 positive cases so far.
As per the health bulletin, released by the DIPR at 5 pm on Sunday, a total of 282 people, who were earlier infected by Covid19, recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours.
Of the recoveries, the Aizawl district recorded 165, Lunglei-55, Mamit-37, Champhai-16, Hnahthial-5, Lawngtlai-3
and the Kolasib district recorded 1 recovery.
A total of 1,29,981 people have recovered from the disease in Mizoram so far.
The state’s recovery rate stands at 96.78%.
Currently, Mizoram’s death rate stands at 0.36%.
The state has so far tested over 14.23 lakh samples for Covid19 and 875 samples were tested on Sunday.
According to state immunisation officer Dr. Lalzawmi, 7.15 lakh people have been inoculated till Saturday and over 5.56 lakh of them received both doses of Covid19 vaccine.
