Mizoram chief minister Zoramthanga has convened an all-party meeting to discuss COVID-19.
NGOs and church bodies have also been invited to the meeting.

The meeting will be held on July 2 at the assembly conference hall in Aizawl.
Apart from the NGOs and church bodies, civil societies, student bodies, doctor associations have also been invited to the meeting.

Earlier, the political parties in the State, NGOs and church bodies had asked the Mizoram Government to convene a meeting to discuss COVID-19 situation.
“The summoning of the meeting is a follow-up to the resolution passed at the joint meeting of all political parties, NGOs and churches convened by Central Young Mizo Association (CYMA) in Aizawl on June 24,” a notice read.
Other cabinet members of Mizoram would also attend the meeting.
Mizoram’s COVID-19 situation continues to be grim, with high number of cases being detected on a daily basis.
