AIZAWL: Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma has embarked on a week-long tour to the United States to attend a function organized by the Mizos living in the US, sources in the CMO said.
He was accompanied by his wife Liansailovi, granddaughter Zodinthari and Officer on Special Duty to the CM, Lalremruata, the sources said.

During his stay in the US, Lalduhoma will attend the ‘Mizo Day’ celebration in Maryland and also meet with officials of the US State Department, it said.
The chief minister will also attend a function in Indianapolis.

The chief minister’s tour programme was acknowledged by the Ministry of External Affairs and he will be received by the consul general of India on his arrival in the US, the sources said.
The MEA has also arranged security protection for the chief minister, who will be accompanied by Indian officials in such functions he attended, the sources added.
