Assam Rifles Mizoram

The Lunglei Battalion of HQ 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), conducted a lecture on human rights in Mizoram’s Siaha district.

The lecture was held at the Saihatlang community hall in the Siaha district.

A total of 20 youths attended the lecture, said a statement issued by the HQ IGAR (East).

The aim of the lecture was to generate awareness on human rights among the locals.

The lecture put an emphasis on the social, economic and cultural upliftment of human beings.

The lecture also covered topics like ‘How do human rights help them’, ‘Where do Human Rights come from’, and others.

The villagers were also informed about how the Indian Armed forces and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) perform their duties within the radius while paying complete respect to human rights.

The villagers were really happy and expressed their gratitude for imparting them the knowledge of their own applicable rights.

The locals of Saihatlang village were very happy and expressed their gratitude for the initiative taken by Assam Rifles, the Assam Rifles said in the statement.
