Mizoram: Assam Rifles conducts online assessment test, counselling for Military Nursing Service candidates

The Aizawl Battalion of Assam Rifles at the initiative of 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters IGAR (East) conducted an MNS Guidance Capsule for young women of Mizoram.

The assessment test and counselling for the Military Nursing Service (MNS) candidates was held from March 1 to April 16, 2021.

The initiative was taken by the Aizawl Battalion of Assam Rifles to widen the perspective of the young girls of Mizoram as part of its efforts to empower the women.

“As a continuation of the capsule the Aizawl Battalion of Assam Rifles conducted an online assessment test & counselling session for all the participants of the MNS Cadre,” said an Assam Rifles statement.

The online initiative was undertaken by the Assam Rifles with a primary aim of keeping the young MNS aspirants prepared for the competitive examination and the secondary aim of keeping the future of Mizoram motivated amidst the COVID19 pandemic in the state, it said.

Aizwal Battalion has taken up this massive initiative to assist the youth of state in overall upliftment and for the empowerment of women.

“Assam Rifles, being the sentinels of Northeast, has always been active and supportive to the youth of Mizoram especially incorporating a sense of nationalism in their young minds,” the statement said.

The online program has been conceptualised to be conducted regularly to assess the preparation of the aspirants for Military Nursing Service Examination and also to guide them on the preparation issues.

The online programme was highly subscribed by the young girls of Mizoram with a participation of 60 girls.

“The instructional staff will subsequently speak to each girl and discuss their performance in detail for making them adequately prepared. More such online initiatives will follow to keep the spark among these young girls live,” it further said.
