“Our actions are our future, healthy diets for a #zerohunger world,” is the theme of World Food Day for the year 2019, which also focuses on tackling global hunger.
“Due to globalization, urbanization and income growth, diets and eating habits are changing fast. Instead of seasonal, fibre rich food and plant based food, we have shifted to refined, starches, sugar, fats, salt, processed food, meat, etc,” informed, Colney.
Director of Agriculture concluded by saying, “Due to unhealthy diets and sedentary lifestyles obesity in people is increasing in developed and low-income countries, which is a grave warning for all of us.”
