The COVID-19 scenario in Mizoram continues to worsen with every single passing day.

With this fresh death case, the State’s COVID-19 death toll has mounted to 23.  

On the other hand, Mizoram on Wednesday reported 240 new COVID-19 cases.

With the new cases, Mizoram’s COVID-19 positive tally increased to 8035.  

Mizoram now has 2010 active cases. 

Of the fresh 240 new COVID-19 cases 131 were detected through RT-PCR test at the Zoram Medical College near Aizawl. 

On the other hand, 100 cases were detected through Rapid Antigen Test and 9 others were detected through TrueNat tests.

Aizawl accounts for the highest number of active COVID-19 cases. 

There are a total of 1428 active COVID-19 cases in Aizawl. 

Meanwhile, as many as 6002 patients have recovered from COVID-19 in Mizoram thus far.
