Imphal: Manipur police recovered the body of a missing individual near the veterinary office in Imphal West on Monday (June 03), prompting an intensified search for another missing staff member from the Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Services, according to official sources.
The deceased, identified as 27-year-old Lairenlakpam Khemannanda from Khaidem Mayai Leikai in Imphal West district of Manipur, was found in the southern part of the Veterinary Office.

Khemannanda had been reported missing since June 01, after he left home around 8 am to send money to his sister studying abroad.
His bicycle and some bank documents were discovered at the scene.
In a related incident, Manipur police are searching for Mayarngam Shinglai, a staff member of the Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Services, who has been missing since June 01.
