Famous rock band from the United Kingdom, Guns 2 Roses will perform in Aizawl Rock Fest on December 8 at Brigade field in Aizawl. Members of G2R reached Aizawl on Wednesday and will do a pre-show promotion from Thursday.
Famed as the only tribute band to perform live with four different members of the legendary rock and roll band Guns N Roses, G2R has performed in major rock festivals in the UK.

Aizawl Rock Fest will also pay tribute to C Sanga and Michael M Sailo, both top rated artistes in Mizoram who passed away earlier this year. A rock tribute to C Sanga will be performed by Mizo’s all time favourite rock band Tribal Power and The Scavenger Project will bid their farewell to Michael M Sailo.
The main attraction of this rock fest will surely be the United Kingdom based Guns 2 Roses, the official Guns N Roses tribute band. No one comes close to the authenticity, charisma and notorious reputation of Guns 2 Roses. “Their ability to emulate classic Guns N Roses has even been approved by members of the original and current line up of GNR and has led to performances with various GNR members and that is why G2R is the most famous GNR tribute band in the world,” chairman of the Aizawl Rock Fest organising committee Remruata Varte said.
“Guns 2 Roses has the reputation of playing live with actual members of GNR from 2006 – 2015. Guns 2 Roses became a world famous name in a short span of time. I have personally followed them on youtube and it’s an honour for me to perform with them guys,” OPA, the lead performer of the Mizo band Tribal Power said.
