Mizoram chief electoral officer SB Shashank said that one all women polling booth would be set up in each of the 40 constituencies in the coming November 28 Mizoram polls.
Talking to mediapersons after the announcement of poll date for Mizoram by the Chief Election Commissioner of India, Shashank said the state election department is ready for the poll.

“For the first time voter assistance booth will be set up in all the polling stations and all women managed polling station will be set up in each constituencies,” Shashank said.
The state election chief also said that web casting of vote procedure would be taken up in 125 polling stations and these stations would be live streamed.
For the Mizoram polls from eight districts, 1,164 polling stations will be set up. Mizoram assembly has 40 constituencies, of which 39 are reserved for scheduled tribe with only Aizawl East I, is an unreserved constituency.

The last state assembly election to the 40 seats in Mizoram was held in 2013 with 83 percent turnout. The Congress won 34 seats.
