A total of 8 people died of Covid19 infection in the last 48 years in Mizoram, taking the death toll to 328 on Tuesday.
Mizoram recorded two deaths on Tuesday and 6 deaths on Monday.
On Tuesday, a total of 1,681 new positive cases were recorded in Mizoram.
While 679 cases were detected during RT-PCR test, 52 were found positive during TrueNAT test, 904 during RAgT test and 46 were found positive during FIA.
With these cases, Mizoram has so far registered 99,856 positive cases so far.

Mizoram currently has a total of 15,909 active Covid19 cases.
On Monday, Mizoram reported 443 positive cases and the death toll stood at 326.
Mizoram reported 538 recoveries on Monday.
On Tuesday morning, Mizoram’s positivity rate stood at 18.01%.
On Monday, the single-day positive rate was 28.97% as the fresh cases were detected from 1,529 sample tests.
On Monday, at least 107 children were infected by the virus and the number of actives stood at 4,726.
The recovery rate among Covid19 patients was 84.66% while the death rate was 0.33% on Monday.
Over 6.82 lakh people were vaccinated till Monday, of which 4.51 lakh people received full doses, state immunisation officer Dr. Lalzawmi said.
