Mizoram on Friday reported 19 fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the state’s overall tally to 558.
All the cases were detected through Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) carried out at Kolasib district.
The active case in the state climbed to 270, while 288 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals of the state.
On Thursday, at least 33 people, including 29 security personnel in Mizoram have been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus.
Among them, 28 cases were reported from Aizawl district, two from Champhai district and one each from Lunglei, Kolasib and Saitual districts.
Among the new cases included a nurse, who was taking care of COVID-19 patients at Zoram Medical College (ZMC), it said.
Meanwhile, two females from Serschhip and Lawngtlai districts have recovered and were discharged from hospitals on Thursday.
