Mizoram on Tuesday reported no fresh case of Covid-19 and the state’s tally remained at 142, an official of state health department said.
Of the 804 samples tested at Zoram Medical College (ZMC) and another 25 at Lunglei civil hospital in the last 24 hours, 608 came out as negative while 221 results were awaited, the official said.
No new case has been detected, he said.
According to the official, seven patients—five from Aizawl and one each from Saitual and Kolasib district have recovered and were discharged from hospitals on Tuesday.

Mizoram as of now has a total of 142 Covid-19 cases, of which 123 are active.
Health minister Dr. R. Lalthangliana expressed hope that the existing patients, who are currently undertaking treatment at ZMC and other dedicated Covid-19 health centres (DCHC) and Covid-19 care centres (CCC) across the state, will also recover soon as they are young and majority of them did not develop symptoms of Covid-19.
He also said that testing of backlog samples and samples of other returnees are likely to be completed by next week.
The Mizoram government on Sunday extended total lockdown in Aizawl Municipal area, district headquarters and containment zone areas for another 8 days till June 30 to contain further spread of coronavirus.
The extended lockdown came into effect on Tuesday.
So far, Mizoram has not reported community transmission though it has reported one local transmission on June 13.
For the past two days, the recovery rate was much higher than the infection rate.
