Newly appointed ADG of Assam Rifles, Major General SS Deusi on Wednesday called on Mizoram chief minister Zoramthanga at the latter’s residence in Aizawl.

The Mizoram CM and the additional director general (ADG) of Assam Rifles discussed the present scenario of the state.

Deusi told the Mizoram chief minister that the paramilitary force will act indiscriminately and impartially in guarding the Indo-Myanmar border and curb the drug menace.

Chief minister Zoramthanga appreciated the proactive measures taken by the Assam Rifles.

Zoramthanga also lauded Assam Rifles’ efforts to improve the livelihood of the local populace and help in the implementation of the rural schemes of the Centre and state government.

The ADG also assured that the forces would conduct specialist medical camps, agricultural schemes in remote areas.

Besides, Major General SS Deusi also assured of conducting recruitment training for the youths of Mizoram with the assistance of the state government for which the Mizoram CM expressed his willingness and support
