As many as 15 fresh cases of COVID-19 have been detected in Mizoram in the last 24 hours.
With the detection of 15 fresh cases, the total COVID-19 cases tally in Mizoram has shot up to 4156.
Of the total 4156 COVID-19 cases in Mizoram, 140 are active cases.
Notably, of the total 4156 COVID-19 positive cases, 3057 are male and 1099 are female.
Of the fresh 15 COVID-19 cases, 9 have been detected through RT-PCR test at the Zoram Medical College and the remaining 6 through Rapid Antigen test.
The State’s COVID-19 death toll currently stands at 8, with 7 of them being reported from Aizawl and 1 from Serchhip district.

In fact, Aizawl with 63 has the highest number of active cases in the State, followed by Lunglei (34), Lawngtlai (24), Kolasib (8), Serchhip (4), Champhai (4), Saitual (2) and Hnahthial (1).
Districts of Siaha, Mamit and Khawzawl at present have no active cases.
In Mizoram, with the number of active cases of COVID-19 gradually declining, the recovery rate has also improved to 96.43%.
A total of 4008 patients have been discharged from different hospitals and COVID Care Centres across the State after recovering from the deadly virus.
