Chhingchhip Sainik School in Mizoram has yet again opened its doors to not only boys, but also the girls. For the second year, the school has just finished its maiden session.

According to Mizoram government official sources, admission forms are available or online application is also an option for aspiring Sanik school students.

The newest of the country’s 26 Sainik Schools, the kindergarten of the National Defence Academy (NDA), last year made history by bringing down the male bastions in the country’s defence services with six girl cadets joining the school.

On June 4 last year, six girls joined the Sainik School Chhingchhip, Mizoram in Class VI along with 54 boys. Sainik School Chhingchhip then became the first school under the aegis of Sainik School Society to induct girl cadets.
