Aizawl: Acting on an input, Mizoram police seized 10 packets of Crystal meth weighing 10.3 kilograms worth Rs 31.1 crore at the Melbuk area in east Mizoram’s Champhai district on Tuesday, police said.

Two persons identified as Malsawmzuali (38) and Lalchhandama (19), both from Lengpui village have been arrested for possessing the contraband, they said.

The two accused were booked under section 22 (C)/29 of the Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, they said.

The origin and destination of the drug is under investigation. 

Crystal meth is a dangerous and addictive drug. It is a stimulant that affects the central nervous system, and it can cause a variety of health problems, including addiction, heart damage, stroke, and psychosis.
