Guwahati: Four individuals, including three Myanmar nationals, were arrested in Mizoram after 3.8 kilograms of heroin was seized from their possession during three separate operations.
The Mizoram Excise and Narcotics Department with the assistance of the Zemabawk joint action committee seized 3.7 kilograms of heroin in two separate operations conducted in Aizawl district’s Zemabawk area.

Three individuals, including two Myanmar nationals and a resident of Assam’s Karimganj district, were arrested for possessing the narcotic substance.

Another Myanmar national was apprehended by the Assam Rifles and the state Excise and Narcotics Department in a separate operation for possessing 129 grams of heroin in Champhai district along the Indo-Myanmar border.

The narcotic substance was concealed beneath the footrest of the scooter the accused was riding.
The quartet was booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
