Exhibitors from Mexico, Costa Rica, Japan, Argentina, United Kingdom, Georgia, Chile and Bangladesh and several other countries will join the Northeast Food Show 2019 in Shillong.
The three-day Northeast Food Show 2019 will be held in Meghalaya’s capital city Shillong from Wednesday to December 6.
The mega event will see the participation of more than 300 delegates including global investors and business tycoons of major food companies from across India and abroad.
The event is being hosted by the Meghalaya government in collaboration with the SIAL Group, the world’s largest food innovation network.
“We have almost 300 delegates and participants from different countries and parts of India attending the Northeast Food Show,” Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma said.
“It will be a very exciting show and the entire programme is going to be something which will completely change the way we see food processing sector and food industries as a whole in the northeast,” Sangma said.
He said entrepreneurs, chefs, farmers, technology providers and government officials will be participating in the event.
Moreover, buyers from the food & beverage industry like Purchasing Professionals Forum-India (PPFI), Forum of Indian Food Importers (FIFI), international trade delegations are also going to be part of the event.
The North-East Food Show will also be the platform for the NEFS Chef Wars – a platform for chefs to showcase their culinary skills and judged by celebrity chefs from the Indian Culinary Forum (ICF) and the faculty of the Institute of Hotel Management, Shillong.
