Ranjit Vasantrao More has been sworn-in as the new chief justice of the Meghalaya High Court. 

Justice More took oath as the new chief justice of the Meghalaya High Court on Tuesday.

Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik administer the oath to justice More at Raj Bhawan in Shillong. 

Top leaders including Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma was also present at the swearing-in ceremony.

Born on November 4, 1959, More hails from Satara district in Maharashtra. He did his schooling and BA from Kolhapur and obtained a law degree.  

More was elevated as Judge of the Bombay High Court on September 8, 2006. He was thereafter transferred to the High Court of Meghalaya and took oath as Judge on March 9, 2020.
