An FIR has been lodged against National People’s Party (NPP) MLA Benedict Marak alleging that he has kidnapped Boston Marak from Asibra at Tura in West Garo Hills.

The FIR has been filed at Tura police station by Dikchelisa M Sangma, wife of Boston Marak, a resident of Asibra in Tura.

In the FIR, Dikchelisa Sangma claimed Hoston Marak was kidnapped from their residence at Asibra in Tura at around 11:51 pm on Tuesday.

Dikchelisa Sangma alleged that Benedict Marak, MLA of Raksamgre constituency and Sengnal Sangma, MDC of Wagesik district council constituency along with a group of unidentified persons had taken Boston “forcefully” from their residence in front of her.

“Till the filing of this information I could not contact him on both his phones, hence these two persons, namely, Benedict Marak and Sengnal Sangma shall be held responsible for any incident to come in future,” the complainant mentioned.

Dikchelisa Sangma also informed that she was contacted by her husband, Boston, from the phone no. 7005221995 several times.

She said while the first call came at 3 am on Wednesday (January 8), the last call came at 12:40 pm.

During the conversation, she said, Boston informed her that he was in Shillong.

“Though I spoke to him those times, he was not allowed to talk to me properly,” the complainant and urged the officer-in-charge of Tura PS to trace the number and get back her husband.
