TURA: A tragic accident at Jengjal in West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya has resulted in the deaths of three people.

Three occupants of an auto rickshaw were killed when a speeding truck collided with the three-wheeler.

The truck, bearing a Nagaland registration number, was reportedly traveling at a high speed when it struck the auto rickshaw.

Eyewitnesses said the collision was severe, leaving no chance for the auto rickshaw occupants to survive.

The driver of the truck fled the scene immediately after the accident.

Local authorities in West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya are currently conducting a search to apprehend the truck driver.

The identities of the deceased are yet to be known.
