Shillong: In the early hours of Thursday (July 25) morning, a petrol bomb was hurled at the roof of a residence in Them Mawbah, also known as Barapathar in Shillong, Meghalaya.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.

SP of East Khasi Hills district in Meghalaya, Sylvester Nongtnger, stated that the attack took place at approximately 7:30 AM.
The targeted residence belongs to Julie Lyngdoh, who has rented the property to non-tribals.
According to the SP, the attackers entered the premises from an adjacent forest area, initially pelting stones before launching the petrol bomb at the house.

The motive behind the attack remains unclear.
Authorities have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the individuals responsible for this act.
