Meghalaya’s BJP MLA Sanbor Shullai met union minister of sports and youth affairs Kiren Rijiju at his New Delhi residence and sought more support to the state which will host the National Games in 2022.
South Shillong MLA Shullai also urged union minister Rijiju to support a programme to connect job providers with job seekers so that the local youth can benefit from such initiative.

According to Shullai, the image of the state is at stake.

“This would include the development of the Shillong Cantonment Ground for National Games 2022 and also for the welfare of the civilians residing in Shillong Cantonment area,” Shullai said.
The MLA also urged Rijiju to organize youth development programmes to be funded by the central government so that various stakeholders of the society and social welfare & sports clubs are involved in the implementation of such programes by mobilising the local youth.
To begin with the initiative, the MLA sought the support in organising a youth development programme in his South Shillong constituency.
