Meghalaya has reported 20 more Covid19 deaths and 731 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.
According to the data, shared by National Health Mission (NHM), Meghalaya on Friday, with the new cases, Meghalaya has registered so far 33,835 Covid19 positive cases.
The Covid19 death toll in Meghalaya reached 544 on Friday.
Meghalaya currently has 8,025 active Covid19 cases.

Till Friday, a total of 25,266 people have recovered from the disease in Meghalaya.
Till Thursday, the Covid19 death toll in Meghalaya was 524 and the total number of positive cases was 33,104.
Meghalaya reported 809 new positive cases on Thursday.

Meanwhile, due to the rise in Covid19 cases, the Meghalaya government announced extension of lockdown in East Khasi Hills till 5 am of June 7, 2021.
The state government has accommodated over 277 healthcare workers in 15 hotels in Shillong, who are handling the Covid19 operations, said Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma.
“We are accommodating over 277 healthcare workers in 15 hotels in Shillong who are handling our Covid Operations. Safety of our frontline workers remains our priority since the inception of our fight,” the Meghalaya chief minister tweeted.
