Meghalaya records one more COVID-19 case; total mounts to 34

Meghalaya registered one more COVID-19 positive case on Sunday.

With the total number of COVID-19 positive case in the State went up to 34.

The person, a native of the State had recently returned from Maharashtra.

The infected person is under quarantine in East Khasi Hills.

This was informed by state chief minister Conrad Sangma through his official Twitter handle on Sunday.

Sangma wrote:

‘Another resident of Meghalaya who has come from Maharashtra has tested positive for COVID19. Person is under quarantine in East Khasi Hills.

Total cases 34

Active cases 20

Recovered 13

Deceased 1’

As on Sunday, the State has 20 active COVID-19 cases.

As many as 13 persons have completely recovered from coronavirus in the State till date.

The State has witnessed one death so far in the form of a senior doctor from a hospital in Shillong.
