Meghalaya: NPP releases 2nd list of party candidates for KHADC polls

The Election Committee of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) of the National People‘s Party (NPP) has released the second list of four party candidates for Member of District Council (MDC) polls to the KHADC in Meghalaya.

The election to the KHADC has been slated to be held on February 27, 2019.

As per a press release issued on Wednesday by the chairman of the Election Committee of Khasi Hills district of the NPP, the candidates, who have been selected, will be contesting the Member of District Council (MDC) polls on party tickets.

The party candidates, whose names have appeared in the second list of the National People‘s Party for contesting the MDC polls to the KHADC, are Raton Manick Mukhim, Holiwell Khongstid, Pynthymmaibor Chyne and Alvin Khyriem Sawkmie.

While Raton Manick Mukhim will contest from Mawhati MDC constituency, Holiwell Khongstid will contest from Nongshken MDC constituency, Pynthymmaibor Chyne will fight from Shella and Alvin Khyriem Sawkmie will contest from the Mawsynram MDC constituency on NPP tickets.

The National People’s Party (NPP) on December 23, 2018 released its first list of 11 candidates to contest the upcoming elections to the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC).

The candidates in the first list included three sitting members – Jansing Tynsong from Lyngkyrdem-Laitkroh, Victor Ranee from Jirang, and Pynïaid Sing Syiem from Sohryngkham.

The other party candidates are –Anthony N. Nongbri from Laitumkhrah-Malki, World Champion Paliar from Rambrai-Jyrngam, Bainor Rapsang from Mawphlang-Diengiei, Mitchel Wankhar from Laban, Kitborlang Nongrem from Ranikor, Rangkynsai Kharbuki from Umroi, Diverland Lyngdoh from Mawkyrwat and Apsharailang Syiem from Nongstoiñ.
